Umbrella and random act of kindness

I was walking home after work. It started raining heavily. There was nowhere to hide, and I was soaked.
The car stopped, and a man came out.
“Take this”, he said, giving me an umbrella. “I am sorry I can’t give you a lift in the car as I am on the way to my work shift at the airport”
“Thank you so much. Where can I drop off your umbrella or post it to you?”
“Don’t worry. It is only an umbrella,” he said and walked away.
Despite being soaked, I was filled with tears of joy and happiness, a testament to the profound impact of the stranger’s act.

I never asked his name or ever met him again, but I shall always remember him and his umbrella.
The umbrella I so treasured reminded me of him, the stranger in the rain.
Then one day, I lost it. I left the train and left my umbrella there.
I was so upset that I cried.
But then something happened inside me.

With an abundance of joy, love, and good memories, I was eager to pass on this positivity to another stranger on the train. In that moment, my sadness was replaced with a sense of purpose and fulfilment.
It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of sharing positive energy with others. We all have the power to brighten someone else’s day.
The lesson was clear – it’s not about the umbrella, it’s about the beautiful memory and energy it carries. And that’s something worth sharing with others.

May you, my dear readers, be blessed with such heartwarming experiences in your daily lives.

With love as always,
Yana De Lilac
