I trust the Universe to support me in what is most needed. This weekend was no exception.
I am moving home, which means packing, cleaning, planning, and de-cluttering. A fun weekend was exactly what my inner child had been longing for.
It was a weekend filled with all the things I love—vintage shopping, great food, live music, and good company. Saturday started with the much-loved Flo’s Flea Market, back at the Design Chapel this time: Flo’s Vintage. Flo is not only excellent at picking exceptional vintage items for her collection but also at creating a fun and connected atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to Flo’s next pre-Christmas evening event. The anticipation is building, and I’m sure it will be another memorable evening. Reconnecting with friends I haven’t seen in a while, and instantly picking up where we left off, is a feeling that warms my heart and brings back fond memories.
The food at the Anatolian Turkish Restaurant was, as always, delicious—accompanied by excellent service and a pleasant ambience. And then came the cherry on top: live music by Glastonbury rockers Reef at my favourite music venue in Southampton, The 1865. They truly rock!
Reflecting on the day, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude. The vibrant community spirit and the diverse range of experiences Southampton offers are truly a treasure. I feel fortunate to be a part of this community, and it’s moments like these that make me realise how much I love this city.
I am now ready to continue with my move home 🙂
How was your weekend?
With Love as Always,
Yana De Lilac
