I am with a friend for lunch at a very busy high-end Italian restaurant in Kensington. It is a buzzing and very social place. There are tables with big families, groups of friends, and couples.
Suddenly, a beautiful lady in her late 70s caught my attention.
Beautifully dressed with an amazing hairdo and manicure, she radiated grace and confidence.
She was just there, present at that moment, enjoying her food without distractions, reminding me how solo dining can be a peaceful and mindful practice that brings calm to everyday life.
Some of my readers asked me about my solo dining tips and habits.
I have no issue with going to lunch or an early dinner at less formal places.
But I do not feel comfortable dining alone in more formal settings. It feels like you are more on the spot there.
Watching this amazing lady in Kensington, I am inspired and motivated to book a table at the restaurant I have been thinking about for a while, put on my best clothes, and show up. Watch this space for the report.
I don’t know this lady’s story, but I am glad I had a chance to be in her presence.
We often don’t realise how small, everyday moments, like observing this lady, can influence us and inspire personal growth and mindful presence.
Wishing all my readers daily unexpected inspirations.
With Love as Always,
Yana De Lilac
